Birthday Preparations

My daughter is a planner, just like me.  That and a few other OCD tendencies are the only things she got from me!  Otherwise she is 99% her Daddy.  So it's not surprising that she has been planning her May birthday celebration for the past several months already.

She has decided she wants to have her party at Texas Roadhouse.  When it is your birthday there you get to sit on a saddle and wear a big hat and you are the center of attention while everyone cheers for you.  She can't wait!  I am all for it because we will spend the same amount as we usually would for decorations and food (we are only inviting family and close friends) except I don't have to clean the house, prepare the food, or clean up after!

Even though we are not doing decorations, I did let her pick a theme for the invitations and birthday cake.  No big surprise there either - she picked Phineas and Ferb, her favorite TV show. This weekend we designed the invitations to send out and printed them on greeting card printer paper:

And since we are only inviting family and friends who will ask us what she wants for her birthday anyway, we included her birthday list, handwritten by her (and translated by me):

(Cliff's is a local amusement park).

I think she's all set!  The tough part about being a planner is the wait from the time you worked all your plans out until the date of the event!

I am obviously behind on my children's toys... I don't know what a lot of them are! I definitely have a lot to learn. I'm very impressed by her ambition. Sounds like it's going to be a great party!!

Oh, I love her list! (I used to teach kindergarten.) I stopped by to thank you for your sweet comment on my guest post at Soliloquy's place. (Don't you just adore her?)
