Karate Update
Aurora is doing fantastic in karate! She listens and participates in class, and her favorite is sparring. She has no fear and gets right in there against her opponent. We've had some issues getting her to practice her katas at home because all she wants to do is sparr! We've been trying to teach her that she needs to get the basics down first.

Awesome! I know this sounds funny,, as I don't really know Aurora- but I feel so proud of her lol! I guess it's this thing we all have of "knowing" each other's kids since they were born!
Well done A! She looked like she was holding her own against that little boy! Good for her :)
I am a karate novice (would that make me, what, a green belt?), so I have no idea what sparring is. Enlighten me!
I love the idea that you're teaching her to defend herself, and more importantly, respecting herself. I think karate is a great tool for girls!
