When we first got up, Daddy was still sleeping, and I was talking to the kids about what to make him for breakfast. They both decided we should go to McDonald's and get "Daddy's favorite breakfast." So we loaded into the car, still in our jammies, and picked up some breakfast from McDonald's and then came home and surprised him with some sausage biscuits.
Afterwards, the kids gave him his presents. Aurora got him some flip flops..."because you are always wearing Momma's flip flops in the yard and I heard her say that you are stretching them out."
Alex gave him a video game..."cuz Daddy likes games."
Then we all got ready and loaded into the car for a little road trip! We drive about an hour outside the city to a Fireworks Warehouse and let Daddy pick out fireworks for the 4th of July. All three of them had a blast looking at everything available and deciding what to get. At one point I turned around and Alex was trying to put a box of mortar shells, bigger than he is, into the cart! It was hilarious! I think this will definitely be a new tradition for Father's Day!

Sounds like the best Fathers Day ever :) I saw your post on facebook about going to McDs and I thought that was such a cute idea- and it came from the kids, which is even better!!
